Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: March 22, 2024

At Tu Travel, we understand that plans can change, and you may need to cancel or modify your travel arrangements. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our customers and our business. Please read this policy carefully to understand the terms and conditions related to cancellations and refunds.

1. Cancellation by the Client

  • Notification: To cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing via email at cancellations@tutravel.com. The date of the email will be considered the cancellation date.
  • Cancellation Fees: The following cancellation fees apply, based on the number of days before the departure date:
    • More than 60 days: Full refund minus a 10% administrative fee.
    • 30 to 59 days: 50% of the total tour cost will be refunded.
    • 15 to 29 days: 25% of the total tour cost will be refunded.
    • Less than 15 days: No refund will be provided.
  • Non-Refundable Fees: Certain fees such as deposits, permits, and third-party service charges may be non-refundable. These will be specified in your booking confirmation.

2. Cancellation by Tu Travel

  • Minimum Participants: If the minimum number of participants is not met, we reserve the right to cancel the tour. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
  • Force Majeure: In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, political instability), we may cancel the tour. We will provide a full refund or the option to reschedule, but we are not responsible for additional costs incurred by clients (e.g., flight tickets).

3. Modifications by the Client

  • Change Requests: If you wish to modify your booking (e.g., change dates or tour package), please contact us at modifications@tutravel.com. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.
  • Transfer of Booking: You may transfer your booking to another person, provided you notify us in writing at least 15 days before departure and the transferee meets all the requirements for the tour.

4. Refund Process

  • Processing Time: Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving your cancellation request.
  • Payment Method: Refunds will be issued using the same payment method you used for the booking unless otherwise agreed.

5. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical expenses, personal liability, and loss or damage of personal belongings. This can protect you from potential losses if you need to cancel or modify your travel plans.
