You will visit emblematic places such as the picturesque town of Salento, the majestic Cocora Valley with its wax palms, and an authentic coffee farm where you will learn about the coffee process from plant to cup.

We have carefully planned out each day to give you the best possible experience. Day 1: Arrival in Pereira

Arrive at Matecaña International Airport or the bus terminal in Pereira, Risaralda. Upon arrival, a Tu Travel representative will greet you and transfer you to Hotel Sazagua, a charming colonial-style hotel known for its sustainable practices and welcoming atmosphere. After check-in, you will have the afternoon free to rest and enjoy the hotel’s amenities, which include a tropical garden, swimming pool, and spa. Take this time to relax and acclimate to the region. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, which offers a variety of local dishes prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Day 2: Valle de Cocora and Salento

After breakfast, visit the Valle de Cocora for an ecological hike or a guided horseback ride, learning about the wax palm and its importance in the cloud forest ecosystem of Colombia. Enjoy a unique picnic experience in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the country.

In the afternoon, explore Salento on a guided tour. Start by visiting the iconic Plaza de Bolívar, the vibrant heart of the town, surrounded by colonial buildings with colorful facades. Stroll through the picturesque streets, such as the famous Calle Real, filled with artisan shops, cafes, and restaurants offering local products. Learn about the history and culture of the region as you visit emblematic places like the Alto de la Cruz viewpoint, which offers impressive panoramic views of the valley.

In the evening, optional activities are available before returning to Hotel Sazagua in Pereira.

Day 3: Coffee Farm and Filandia

After breakfast, visit El Recuerdo Finca Cafetera Tradicional, a sustainable coffee farm. Begin with a tour of the coffee plantations, where you will learn about environmentally friendly cultivation and harvesting methods that support local biodiversity. The guides will explain each stage of the process, from hand-picking the beans to drying and roasting them. Next, participate in a coffee tasting guided by a professional taster, where you can sample different coffee varieties, appreciating their unique flavors and aromas. This experience will not only reveal the process behind a high-quality cup of coffee but also highlight the hard work and dedication of local coffee growers.

After the farm visit, enjoy lunch at Helena Adentro in Filandia. Helena Adentro focuses on celebrating the culture, flavors, and people of Colombia, integrating local products and supporting farmers. Day 4: Santa Rosa de Cabal Hot Springs

Travel to Santa Rosa de Cabal and check in at Cabañas La Herradura, a rustic lodge surrounded by nature that offers a tranquil and cozy environment. The cabins are designed to provide a comfortable and sustainable experience, with panoramic views of the natural surroundings.

After check-in, relax at the renowned Termales de Santa Rosa de Cabal. These natural hot springs are known for their therapeutic and relaxing properties.
